Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 September 2026

Honoring Stories is a sole proprietorship, the private practice of Harshita Sarda, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, based in Andheri West, Mumbai, India.
Udyam Registration Number: UDYAM-MH-18-0422743

This policy explains what personal information is collected, why, and what choices you have. Questions about this policy: feelseen@honoringstories.com

1. What this website itself collects

Nothing automatically. This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and does not profile visitors or build any record of your browsing.

One exception you should know about. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page opens, your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, and in doing so Google receives your IP address and basic browser information. This happens on every page and is outside my control. Google's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.

2. Information you give me directly

When you enquire

If you write by email or WhatsApp, I receive whatever you choose to include: typically your name, contact details, and something about what brings you.

When you book

Appointments are scheduled through Cal.com, which collects the details you enter, such as name, email address, and chosen time.

Consent forms

Before therapy or supervision begins, you complete a consent form hosted on Google Forms. This collects the information described in the form itself.

During our work together

As a practitioner I keep clinical records of our sessions. These may include your history, what we discuss, and my professional notes, and are kept in line with professional practice standards.

Payments

Payments are made by UPI or bank transfer. I see the transaction details my bank shows me. I do not collect or store your card or banking credentials.

Organisational work

Where an organisation engages me, I hold contact details for the people arranging the work. Notes from individual employee sessions are held under the same confidentiality as any client work.

3. Anonymous submissions

Shared Ways of Coping is designed to be genuinely anonymous. The form does not collect your name or email address. Please do not include details that would identify you or anyone else, since anything published is public.

Submissions are read before publication and may be lightly edited or declined. What you send is stored in the form's response spreadsheet.

4. Why your information is used

  • To respond to your enquiry
  • To arrange, deliver, and follow up on sessions
  • To keep clinical records, as professional practice requires
  • To handle payments and keep basic financial records
  • To meet legal or regulatory obligations

Your information is never sold, rented, or used for advertising.

5. Confidentiality

What you share in sessions is confidential. There are limits, which are discussed openly with you at the start:

  • Where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person
  • Where disclosure is required by law or a court
  • Where I discuss anonymised material in my own clinical supervision, which is standard professional practice and protects the quality of your care

For organisational work, employers receive no names, notes, or account of what any individual discussed. Only broad, non-identifying themes are ever shared, and only where useful.

6. Who else may handle your information

  • Google (Forms, spreadsheets, email, fonts)
  • Cal.com (scheduling)
  • WhatsApp, owned by Meta (messaging, if you choose it)
  • Banking and payment providers

Each holds data under its own terms. WhatsApp messages in particular sit on Meta's systems, so if you would prefer a different channel for sensitive details, email or a session is a better place.

7. How long information is kept

Clinical records are retained for 7 years after our active work together is completed, in line with professional practice standards, after which they are securely destroyed.

Enquiries that do not become work are kept only as long as needed, then deleted. Anonymous submissions are kept indefinitely, since they carry no identifying information.

8. Security

Reasonable measures are taken to keep your information safe, including password-protected devices and accounts and limiting access to me alone. No system is completely secure, and email and messaging apps carry inherent risks that cannot be fully eliminated.

9. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to:

  • Access the personal information held about you
  • Have inaccurate information corrected
  • Have information erased, subject to record-keeping obligations
  • Withdraw consent, which will not affect anything done before you withdrew it
  • Raise a concern about how your information has been handled

To exercise any of these, or to raise a concern, write to feelseen@honoringstories.com.

10. Children

Services are for adults aged 18 and over. Information about children is not knowingly collected.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version.
